Jim Rohn, the much heralded motivational speaker and author, is attributed with first uttering the wisdom: "It isn't what the book costs; it's what it will cost if you don't read it." From NDLC’s perspective, few truer words have ever been spoken.
Why is this relevant? Because, when making a purchasing decision, we typically spend a much larger percentage of time focusing on price than we do appreciating the associated value. For example, a $2 glass of Ice Tea has different implications to someone in Antarctica verses someone in the Sahara… to someone who has a two day old thirst verses someone who regularly partakes. For someone who has just had a heaping glass of Ice Tea, $2 might be deemed a bit much. To someone needs that glass of Ice Tea and craves the value it can bring to his or her life… the $2 asking price barely comes into play.
As far as any of us truly know, this is our one and only life. And not much else is more precious than the time that passes, which we can’t get back, each and every day.
